To the International Accordion Competition in Klingenthal 2021

Congratulations on arranging this important event in such difficult times! The idea of inviting the jury to Klingenthal proved to be very good, and as a jury group we found this both socially and musically very inspiring.

I would also like to tell all the participants in the competition, that we in the jury felt like you were all performing for us in the hall. I am sure this was not your feeling when you made the recording in front of your video camera, but your performances was appreciated very much, and we felt privileged to be able to listen under equal conditions!

Thank you for all the great work you have done, and keep up the good spirit! I can not wait to listen to you live again.

I want to thank warmly the organization of the Klingenthal Accordion Competition for the excellent work they have done! The idea of inviting the competition jury to Klingenthal was really the best possible during this difficult period. Our listening conditions were excellent, and everything was as close to the live competition as it just can be, including even lovely moderators announcing the participants and programs to jury members as in a live competition. All the videos appeared online exactly at the same moment we were listening to them here.

But most importantly, I want to thank all the participants so much for your videos! Your wonderful performances were really appreciated here, and the overall artistic quality was very high. The future of our instrument looks bright, and I am looking forward to listening to you all live as soon as possible!"

L’Internationaler Akkordeonwettbewerb Klingenthal rappresenta da sempre un’importante occasione di crescita, scambio d’idee e d’opinioni che contribuiscono a rendere il nostro amore per la musica e per la fisarmonica sempre più grande.

Nato cinquantotto anni fa, questo concorso si è distinto fin dall’inizio per un’impostazione d’alto profilo musicale ed è stato il primo ad aver previsto una prova finale con orchestra.

Grazie alla perfetta organizzazione di Jörg Künzl, coadiuvato dalla sua gentile signora, alla prestigiosa leadership artistica di Stefan Hussong, all’alto livello di preparazione dei concorrenti e all’autorevole giuria di cui sono stato nuovamente onorato di far parte, la manifestazione ha anche quest’anno raggiunto un meritato successo.

Nonostante le grandi difficoltà connesse al coronavirus, la formula giuria in presenza - concorrenti in video è risultata sicuramente vincente.

Viva la Musica, viva la Fisarmonica, viva Klingenthal!

In Zeiten der Pandemie ist in den letzten Tagen in Klingenthal etwas ganz Besonderes passiert:

der traditionsreiche Internationale Akkordeon-Wettbewerb konnte durch viele eingesandte Videos im Online-Format und zusammen mit einer Präsenz-Jury professionell durchgeführt werden. Die Freude darüber war bei allen Beteiligten enorm groß, nicht zuletzt auch durch den Umstand, dass auf diesem Weg eine Brücke in die Zukunft gebaut werden konnte.

Deshalb gerade in diesem Jahr: ein großes Kompliment und herzlichen Dank an Jörg Künzl und sein Team für die großartige Organisation!

Vielen Dank auch insbesondere an alle Teilnehmer, ihre Lehrer und auch ihre Familien für die Unterstützung und das herausragende Engagement, welches mich als Jurymitglied sehr beeindruckt hat.

Was hier in Klingenthal gelang, ist ein nicht zu unterschätzendes Symbol unserer Zeit, dafür, dass das Leben und die Kultur in unseren Herzen weitergetragen wird, dass wir weiterdenken und weiterhandeln, um uns auf die Zeit „danach“ jetzt schon freuen zu können!

In diesem Sinne auf ein Wiedersehen in Klingenthal 2022!

Liebe Akkordeonfreunde,

der Internationale Akkordeonwettbewerb in Klingenthal erlebte in diesem Jahr durch Corona „leider“ eine Premiere: Keine Auftritte in Präsenz!

Aber dank der tollen Arbeit des Organisationsteams und der fleißigen Helfer im Hintergrund wurden sehr gute Voraussetzungen für die Verbindung  einer Online- Durchführung mit gleichzeitiger Jurypräsenz geschaffen.

Ein herzlicher Dank natürlich ebenfalls  an alle Teilnehmer, die sich mit viel Engagement und Fleiß auf diesen traditionsreichen musikalischen Höhepunkt in der Akkordeonwelt vorbereitet haben, was die vielen gelungenen und künstlerisch sehr wertvollen Videoeinsendungen eindrucksvoll zeigten.

Wenn auch nicht „live“ erlebt, so spreche ich ganz sicher im Namen all meiner Jurykollegen, waren wir sehr stolz, diese tollen musikalischen Beiträge bewerten zu dürfen.

„Everybody on stage!“ - mit dieser Zuversicht auf einen Wettbewerb in Präsenz wieder  mit vielen talentierten Akkordeonisten im nächsten Jahr 2022

The International Accordion Competition in Klingenthal reaffirmed the extraordinary position among the world competitions when the organizers chose the form of full-time participation of the judges at this pandemic time. Thanks to the same technical conditions, it brought an objective evaluation of almost one hundred entries for this year's 58th edition. The work of the jury was extremely responsible, as the videos were shot at an excellent level. Therefore, it is thanks to my colleagues for their professional approach, as well as to the organizers for their responsible preparation and performance of this unique event. I am happy that I was finally able to meet my friends from all over Europe in person. I am very excited about establishing contacts between the International Competition in Klingenthal and october's International Accordion Days in Prague, where the new year of the German competition will also be presented by Mr. Jörg Künzl.
